Client: NRMA

Client:
Since 2020, The Learning Circle has been collaborating with NRMA Group to implement "Take The Lead," our Leadership Fundamentals program, aimed at empowering frontline leaders across their organization. NRMA, Australia's largest member-owned organization, offers legendary NRMA roadside assistance, operates NRMA Parks and Resorts, SIXT car rental services, and owns various Tasmanian tourism assets and marine businesses. Our Take The Lead program has welcomed leaders from all these diverse businesses.

Challenge:
As NRMA Group expanded into various sectors and its leaders became geographically dispersed, ensuring a consistent approach to managing and leading others became paramount. The Take The Lead program was designed to equip all frontline leaders, regardless of their division, region, or team size, with the tools to provide consistent leadership and management practices to their people.

Solution:

Given the diverse nature of the leader group (e.g  geographically, in call center environments, managing caravan parks!) our program's adaptability in structure and delivery methods ensured accessibility for all. We have conducted the program fully face-to-face, entirely virtually, as a hybrid, and in condensed formats tailored for specific leaders.

The program emphasises longevity, focusing on transferring learning back into the workplace. Its structured elements cover:

  • Program Briefing: Providing an overview of the program and participant expectations. This briefing involves the participant's manager, who plays a crucial role in their growth and development.
  • Modules 1-5: Covering The Fundamentals of Leadership, Manager Operating Rhythm, Motivation and Engagement, Feedback, High Performing Teams, and Resilience.
  • Accountability Circles: Virtual facilitated conversations run by The Learning Circle between each module to ensure participants are accountable for their commitments.
  • Coaching Pods: Participant-driven networking and education groups comprising a small cohort who connect between modules to network, share insights, and provide support.
